Hi there! I’m Molly Thompson, homegrown chef living in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. Cooking has always been more than just a daily task for me it’s been my love language, my therapy, and my most faithful form of self-expression. I didn’t train in any fancy culinary schools or chase Michelin stars; instead, I learned the ropes right at my grandmother’s elbow, in a tiny kitchen that always smelled like cinnamon and roasted chicken.

I still remember the first dish I ever made on my own: a lopsided apple pie when I was ten. The crust was tough, the filling a bit too tart, but my dad ate every crumb with a proud smile. That moment stuck with me. I realized food has this magical power to make people feel seen, cared for, and at home.

Over the years, I’ve built a life and a career around that idea. I started a supper club out of my own dining room, just neighbors and friends at first, then strangers who became regulars. Eventually, I began sharing my recipes online, and it turns out there are a lot of people who appreciate a good cast-iron skillet and the comfort of a slow-cooked Sunday roast.

about me

My cooking style is deeply rooted in Southern comfort, but I love to play with flavors from other places. Thai basil in deviled eggs? Yes, please. Kimchi on cornbread? Don’t knock it till you try it. I believe great cooking happens when you trust your taste buds and aren’t afraid to make a mess now and then.

What I want most is to help home cooks feel confident and joyful in their kitchens. Not every dish will turn out perfect I’ve burned more than my share of biscuits but that’s part of the journey. If you can laugh, learn, and feed the people you love, you’re doing it right.

So pull up a chair, grab your apron, and let’s cook something delicious together. My kitchen is your kitchen mismatched mugs, flour-dusted counters, and all.
